American Fireworks Standards LaboratoryAs of December 2011, AFSL has tested more than 75 million cases of consumer fireworks for U.S. members. AFSL offers the only independent third-party testing and certification service for both manufacturers and U.S. importers to assure that their products comply with state of the art technical requirements for fireworks. Through the development of voluntary standards and stringent testing to those standards, AFSL assures compliance with U.S. mandatory regulations for consumer fireworks established by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). AFSL is a unique entity in the field of consumer product safety.
